Jamie was involved from an early age in Martial Arts, and through his years in training, was brought into teaching while he was still in Hamilton, Ontario, under his most influential coach; Samir “Sandman” Seif.
His knowledge expands into practical areas such as Safe Guard; a system used for the application of strength and restraint by the RCMP and other peace keeping groups. This means an in depth ability with both unarmed situations and armed ones as well.
Jamie has also competed in many aspects of martial arts, from MMA cage matches to Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, allowing him to fit in perfectly with the standards expected from all instructors at Avatar Self Defense.
